1About these terms

BillBanao (the website billbanao.in and the BillBanao app — together, the "Service") is a billing, khata (ledger) and stock management tool for shopkeepers and small businesses. It is published and operated by VVV Chemicals Limited ("we", "us", "our").

"You" means the person or business that creates a BillBanao account, including any staff users added to that account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.

2Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
• Give correct information when you sign up (your name, mobile number and business details) and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by staff users you add. Remove staff access you no longer need.
• Tell us promptly at support@billbanao.in if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

3Free trial & subscription

• Free trial: new accounts get a free trial for the number of days shown on our website at the time of sign-up. No payment card is needed to start the trial.
• Paid plans: after the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription — currently offered on a monthly or yearly basis.
• Prices: prices are shown on our website and may change from time to time. A price change will not affect a period you have already paid for; the new price applies from your next renewal.
• Taxes: prices are subject to applicable taxes, if any, as shown at the time of payment.
• Expiry: if your trial or plan ends and is not renewed, we may limit your account (for example, stop new bills from being created) until you renew. Your existing data is not deleted just because a plan has ended — see section 8.
• Refunds: since you can try every feature free during the trial, subscription fees once paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise in a specific case.

4Your bills & GST responsibility

BillBanao is a software tool. We are not a tax advisor, chartered accountant or legal advisor, and we do not file returns on your behalf.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter and every document you issue — including item rates, HSN codes, GST rates, GSTIN, place of supply and totals.
• You are responsible for your own GST registration, invoices, returns, record-keeping and all other legal and tax compliance for your business.
• Reports in the app (such as the GST summary) are provided to help you and your accountant. Please check them before relying on them for any filing.

If you are unsure about a tax rule or how to bill a particular item, please ask your CA or tax professional.

5Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• create fake, fraudulent or misleading bills, or for any illegal purpose (including tax evasion);
• send spam or harass anyone through bill links, khata links or reminders;
• upload unlawful content or content you do not have the right to use (for example, someone else's logo);
• try to access other users' data, break or bypass security, overload our systems, or scrape, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service;
• share one account across separate businesses to avoid paying for them.

6Your data & export

• The business data you enter (parties, items, bills, payments, expenses) belongs to you. We use it only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You can export your data from within the app at any time. We recommend downloading a backup regularly.
• You are responsible for having the right to store the details of your customers and suppliers that you enter.
• Bill and khata share links can be viewed by anyone who has the link. Share them only with the intended person.

7Service availability & changes

We work to keep BillBanao running smoothly, but we do not promise it will be available at all times or free of errors. The Service needs an internet connection, and it may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, hosting problems or events outside our control. We may add, change or remove features over time to improve the Service.

8Suspension & closure

• We may suspend or limit an account for non-payment after the trial or plan period ends.
• We may suspend or close an account, with or without notice, if it is used in breach of these terms, for misuse or fraud, or if we are required to by law.
• You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and delete its data, email support@billbanao.in. Please export your data first — deleted data cannot be recovered.
• If an account stays unpaid or inactive for a long period, we may delete its data after giving reasonable notice to the registered mobile number or email, where available.

9Our software & brand

The BillBanao software, design, name and logo belong to us. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business during your trial or paid period. It does not give you any ownership of the software or brand.

10Disclaimer & limitation of liability

• The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind beyond those required by law.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, or for any tax demand, interest or penalty arising from bills, returns or reports prepared using the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
• Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

11Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute relating to these terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Before going to court, please write to us first — most issues can be solved quickly.

12Changes & contact

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for important changes, show a notice on the website or in the app. Continuing to use BillBanao after a change means you accept the updated terms.
